Pediatric foot problems can often be treated with custom or prefabricated Orthotics for shoes.
Conditions for which orthotics can help include:
Pes Valgus (Flat Foot): arches and ankles of the feet collapse and provide inadequate shock absorption.
In-toeing (pigeon toe): Toes point inward due to pathology in the foot or leg.
Out-toeing: Toes point outward due to pathology in the foot or leg.
Heel pain (Sever’s Disease): Growth plate inflammation from the pull of the achilles tendon on the heel.
Pes Cavus (High Arch): Painful pressure points can develop on the ball of the foot and the heel due to abnormal shock absorption.
